Volunteering Opportunities
Fancy getting stuck into the Food and Drink Festival – quite literally?
Why not volunteer and be part of one of Leamington’s biggest events of the year, with over 25,000 food lovers flocking in over two deliciously action-packed days!
It’s a great chance to meet lovely people, join a cracking team, and yes – there will be food. Tasty, glorious food. (We’re not saying that’s why we volunteer… but it helps.)
To get involved, email alison@bidleamington.com for more details and an application form. Aprons optional. Enthusiasm essential.
Green News
There is a strong push towards making events greener and festivals, both large and small, have made huge strides towards reducing waste, incentivising greater sustainability and ethical sourcing.
We continue to do our best to make the Leamington Food & Drink Festival a greener event and would like to encourage everyone to assist us in our move towards this.
We have a list of suggestions for stall holders on our Exhibitors Guide page.
Let’s keep it green and clean!
Our wonderful Green Steward Volunteers will be around the Festival all weekend, helping us recycle as much as possible – and they’d love your support.
Not all bins are marked, but don’t worry – our crafty helpers will whisk your waste away to a local site to be fully recycled. Magic, right?
Getting here? Let’s travel smart!
We highly recommend using public transport – the Pump Room Gardens is just a 5-minute walk from Leamington Railway Station and only 2 minutes from Parade, which is served by regular buses.
There’s even a bike rack at the Pump Rooms for all you eco-friendly cyclists. And if you’re local, why not enjoy a stroll down? It’s good for the planet and your step count!
FAQ’s
What is the town like?

Where can we stay?
There are plenty of places to stay in the town centre, including hotels, cosy B&Bs, and a variety of Airbnb options – perfect for making a weekend of it!
- The Angel Hotel: www.angelhotelleamington.co.uk
- The Lansdowne Hotel www.thelansdowne.co.uk
- Travel Lodge (Regent Hotel) www.travelodge.co.uk
- Premier Inn www.premierinn.com
Are there cash points at the festival?
Need cash? ATMs are available at all major banks, just a quick 5-minute stroll from the Festival – though many exhibitors do accept card payments too.
Are there things for the children to do?
There’s plenty for the whole family to enjoy at the Festival – though the grown-up drinks are just for adults!
Kids can get stuck into the Kid’s Cookery School, where they’ll have the chance to mix, make, and have fun with food.
We’ll also have a few extra activities in the children’s area to keep little ones entertained.
Is accessibility good?
Wheelchair Access: The Pump Room Gardens is wheelchair accessible from the Parade and Dormer Place and has sealed pathways throughout. However the majority of the stalls are on grass which may pose a problem if the conditions are not fine and dry.
Disabled toilets can be found on the Pump Room Gardens in the designated area. For exact location see the programme & local guide on the day. An accessible toilet can also be found inside the Rump Rooms.
A fully accessible ‘Changing Places’ toilet on level 2 of the Royal Priors Shopping Centre, which is approximately 10 minutes’ walk from the Festival site.
Can you accommodate coach parties and groups?
Coach parties, and other groups, are welcome, but please contact us in advance so we can best help you.
Can I bring my dog?
As tempting as it may be to bring your four-legged friend along (all those delicious smells, we get it!) we kindly ask that you leave your pooch at home.
The Festival gets very busy, and it just wouldn’t be fair on them.
Guide dogs are, of course, welcome – just please take extra care in the crowds.
Are there First Aid facilities?
There are trained personnel on site throughout the weekend and an ambulance to cope with any incidents that may occur.
What is the quality of products like?
We try hard to ensure that all food and drink supplied at, and associated with the Festival, is of the highest taste quality and of the highest standard of production.
We select the exhibitors at the festival, and the suppliers of take-away food, very carefully, but we cannot examine or analyse every product by every supplier. Any supplier found to be supplying food or drink at the Festival that doesn’t meet our standards and requirements, will be asked to stop doing so and will unlikely be asked to return next year.
Are there toilets on site?
When nature calls, we’ve got you covered!
Temporary toilets (including accessible facilities) are located in the Pump Room Gardens, and there are public loos just off Parade on Regent Grove too – no treasure map required.
Do you have vegetarian food available?
From vibrant veggie delights to mouth-watering vegan treats, there’s a delicious range of plant-based products for you to sample and take home.
Whether you’re a full-time vegan or just veg-curious, there’s something to tempt every tastebud!
