There’s plenty for the whole family to enjoy at the Festival – though the grown-up drinks are just for adults!
Kids can get stuck into the Kid’s Cookery School, where they’ll have the chance to mix, make, and have fun with food.
We’ll also have a few extra activities in the children’s area to keep little ones entertained.

Need cash? ATMs are available at all major banks, just a quick 5-minute stroll from the Festival – though many exhibitors do accept card payments too.

We want everyone to enjoy our event safely. This includes visitors, exhibitors, staff, volunteers and contractors. Please report any concerns or unusual activity to the event management team, who can be found in the information tent and around the site in high-vis vests.

Legal, Responsible Consumption & Service of Alcohol

• • Personal Responsibility: Alcohol consumption is a personal choice. Respectful behaviour is expected at all times.
  • Age Verification: We operate a strict Challenge 25 policy. Anyone who appears under 25 must present a valid passport, UK driving licence, or PASS-card ID before being served. Posters stating this are displayed by traders.
  • Serving Restrictions: By UK law, staff will not serve anyone under the age of 18, or anyone attempting to buy alcohol for a minor.
  • Intoxication: Staff / event traders are legally prohibited from serving anyone who appears excessively under the influence.
  • Inclusivity & Hydration: Free drinking water and high-quality non-alcoholic beverage alternatives are prominently available throughout the event. Food or substantial snacks are also available.
  • No Drinking & Driving: Guests are encouraged to plan their journey home via public transport, uber or pre-booked taxis.

 Drug Policy

• • UK Law: All UK laws apply directly within the event boundary and beyond. Accordingly, we operate a strict zero-tolerance policy regarding the possession, use, or supply of illegal drugs, new psychoactive substances (NPS/”legal highs”), and the misuse of prescription medications.
  • Reporting & Confiscation: We encourage concerns to be reported to the event management team or directly to the Police. Anyone found in possession of prohibited substances will be reported to the Police. Any found, seized or surrendered substances will be secured and handed over to the Police.

 Welfare, First Aid & Logs

• • First Aid: A trained medical and welfare team will be on-site during the hours of the event. They are located near The Pump Rooms Visitor Information Centre. Please speak to a member of the event management team if you need assistance.
  • Emergency: In the event of an emergency, please call 999.
  • Lost Child: Please report lost or found children to the event management team as quickly as possible. The lost / found meeting point is at the Information Tent located near the corner of Dormer Place and Parade.
  • Incident Logging: The team monitors site activity closely. All incidents and reported concerns are logged in an incident book with dates, times, and details.

Wheelchair Access: The Pump Room Gardens is wheelchair accessible from the Parade and Dormer Place and has sealed pathways throughout. However the majority of the stalls are on grass which may pose a problem if the conditions are not fine and dry.

Ground Levels: In general The Pump Room Gardens are flat, although there may be some undulations or dips on the grass areas. Please also beware of cable covers and areas that may be slippery or muddy if the site is wet.

Assessable Toilets: A portable accessible toilet can be found on the Pump Room Gardens in the designated area typically adjacent to the river. For the exact location please see the programme and on site guidance on the day.

A permanent accessible toilet can also be found inside the Pump Rooms Visitor Information Centre as well as in near the café in Jephson Gardens across the road. 

A fully accessible ‘Changing Places’ toilet on level 2 of the Royal Priors Shopping Centre, which is approximately 10 minutes’ walk from the Festival site.

Accessible Parking: Disabled parking bays are available on-street and in off-street car parks throughout the town centre. Parking can be busy during the event so it may be helpful to plan ahead or arrive earlier in the day.
